How to use webinars

If you would like to give webinar a try:
  • Click on "Schedule a webinar"
  • Set webinar name (edit new event field)
  • Set the date
Your students will get an automatic notification about the new webinar, the same way they do for tasks and quizzes. However, it is a good idea to remind them about upcoming webinar 1 day before. The best way to do it is to leave a message in the forum, or send a direct message via Participants/Send a message to all students.

When webinar times come (15 mins before start date), you and your students will be able to launch webinar interface, check your video/audio settings and upload a presentation to share. If you would like to test it, you can simply create a webinar that starts in 15 minutes from now.

For the webinars, we use 3rd party solution called BigBlueButton. It is seamlessly integrated with your class, thus you don't need to send any additional invitation to join. Students will simply see it as one of course activities. BigBlueButton side has lots of video tutorial that explain various functionality.
