a. Tests need to be limited in time if the instructor choses to do so. Once the defined time elapsed (counter starts after the student presses the “start” button), the test needs to lock
b. Passing Grade - needs to be defined by the instructor and presented to the student.
c. Correct answer – in addition to pointing to correct answer, there could be also an option for the instructor to post an explanation, etc.
d. Math formulas – could this be posted not in the LaTex format. It is quite difficult to use the script7 votes
I suggest can add navigation bar on course page. Can classification course to module, lesson. User can use navigation bar quick jump to specific course. No need mouse sliding down to find course.
Add a side bar to quick jump to topics in the course rather than scrolling down to find them.7 votes
We just release quick course navigation together with other improvement for the Dashboard. To jump between the courses, simply click on down arrow next to “My courses” label.
Please see all other improvement from our blog https://eliademy.com/blog/2014/09/01/brand-new-eliademy-dashboard-for-the-new-study-year/
A list of all students I am teaching so I can just add them to the appropriate class without sending emails to each of them.
I am teaching a year long class with 50 or so students that will be taking different topics taught by me and my instructors. A way to add all my students in a list so that I can click and add them to each course without having to send out 50 emails each week would be fantastic. Then I could also see a list of all of my students at any time on my profile.6 votes
Mass enrollments is of the core feature of Eliademy for Groups (we refer to it as Business now, but it will undergo changes soon). Eliademy for Groups is commercial product, but still free for any non-commercial educational purposes. If you would like to upgrade your account you can simply follow this guide http://support.eliademy.com/knowledgebase/articles/280389-e4b-how-to-change-your-individual-account-into-el and later contact us to confirm your non-commercial status.

Feature is released. More at https://eliademy.com/blog/2013/07/22/eliademy-rolls-out-new-visual-editor-email-notifications-and-more/. Once again, thanks for the idea.
It would be usefull to be able to create the tasks in advance, but hide them from students. Then instructor would be able to release the tasks when one wants.6 votes
Thanks for idea. It is released now. You can learn more from this post https://t.co/ITKPDjIiYG
Be able to choose your time zone, I have an assignment due 3/27/13 the website says 3/4/136 votes
You can configure your timezone via Settings page. Note that all deadlines for tasks and course events will be displayed in the time of selected timezone.
If you have a set time that an assignment needs to be released and completed by. Under new BTEC submission rules assignments must be completed in a two week period unless the task is unsuited. Befroe this two week period they should not see the assignment. From a planning perspective it would however be useful to have assignments loaded on to the system and set to appear at the right time6 votes
It would be great if you could change tests order. Now it's hard to make new adds over there.5 votes
All tasks are now ordered by due date. If there is no date, it is ordered in alphabetical order. We are also adding ability to link tasks and topic in coming weeks.
I would love to see the same editor in forum what is available in editing course content and tasks5 votes
Full rich text editing is enabled for all forum posts, including even old ones. Bold, italic, lists and quotations – all of the features instructors already used to create beautiful courses. You can read all about other changed here – https://eliademy.com/blog/2014/08/08/better-and-faster-forums-now-available-in-all-eliademy-courses
It would be good to give students an automated custom message after the completion of each questionnaire5 votes
More options for formatting dates. Students in USA are accustomed to month/day/year and having a day before a month is very confusing to them. For example 11/4 means November 4th not 11th of April to american students.5 votes
We have refactored all dates on the platform, now most of them will be shows as 5th of April instead of 04.06.
Translation of text with variables and constants requires frequent update and maintenance. For example the sentence with "€8.00/year " must be reviewed at every change of the price. Other strings suffer from the different translation of a constant (ex. access rights, user, participant, private course, etc.) in the ideomatic context of the string. Actual Eliademy translation strings could be optimized using" place holders" for this variables and constants. The "constants" must be translated first. Then the translator copy the other original string (including place holders), translates it (keeping place holders) and check the result. If the result do not satisfy her, can suggest a new translation of a "place holder" (ex. for plural) and submit for review.
This will minimize maintenence at least of all latin languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, etc.) but requires a change in the Eliademy language translation interface. Check Badoo translation interface for a hint.

We did a substantial clean up of various strings during past month. Localisation work should become a bit easier. Thank you for letting us know.

There have only 5 function can use.

We released a new visual editor today. More at https://eliademy.com/blog/2013/07/22/eliademy-rolls-out-new-visual-editor-email-notifications-and-more/.
You have a great platform !
My suggestion is really minor but always fun to have :
Social badges as reward for students such as on Open2study platform. On Coursera or edX, there is a certification which is the "reward" so social badges add a little fun & challenge to the non certified course.
Thank for for the idea. In fact we do have certificates that many instructors use as incentives – you can learn more about from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsxK4heD_Kc.
Also, we are planning to add integration with Open Badges in near future.
I have seen http://helpdesk.eliademy.com/knowledgebase/articles/485277-can-i-add-audio-file-mp3-to-my-course
and although solutions are described - neither are ideal.
- All we really want is a simple (editor) upload button and then a simple (frontend) play button.4 votes
We have just release an update that allow adding any audio file to eliademy as URL with playback controls right in the course material. In order to use it, please click on new “add audio” icon in the editor.
So yeah, please please add the feature where you can make participants teachers. :)
And also Can you add tasks which can be graded but don't require participants to upload some file. Maybe just a checkbox for them to click "done" or then nothing. :)4 votes
We just released a new type of tasks which does not require any file submissions. For more details please visit our blog https://eliademy.com/blog/2013/04/23/test-your-students-with-quizzes-on-eliademy/
To add co-teacher to the course simply click edit on participants page and select course participant who you want to be your co teacher. More details here https://eliademy.com/blog/?p=63
Allows students/clients the opportunity to engage in question and to reciprocally receive answer feed-back.4 votes
Thanks for idea.
We just released new update with support for quizzes. It will allow instructors to create question – answer tests. For more information and full list of changes please visit our release blog https://eliademy.com/blog/2013/04/23/test-your-students-with-quizzes-on-eliademy/
It would be nice to be able to "enroll" other teachers or to have "junior" administrators. I would like my TA to be able to do some of the things I do and I would also like to share the information with a teacher who teaches another section of the same course. Thanks!4 votes
As a lead instructor you can promote anyone from the participants list to be co-instructor. Here is a how to http://helpdesk.eliademy.com/knowledgebase/articles/669763-how-to-add-another-teacher-to-a-course-co-teacher
How can i write a mathematic formula? Can i use latex?4 votes
We just released a new version of Eliademy which support displaying mathematical formulas. Editing is possible in LaTeX syntax.
It is also now possible to create a quiz with formulas in questions. Adding pictures and math formulas to questions is our next step.
Be able to click on late or old tasks3 votes
Thanks for noticing. We increased the size or clickable area.
- Don't see your idea?
