Grouping course content into topics or chapters
In our course of 12 weeks we have several phases that our course goes through. It would be nice if the topics of those phases could be grouped in some kind of chapter/section thingy.
It would be handy if those sections/chapters would be collapsible.
158 votesAt this moment of time content in Eliademy is “linear”. Most of the teachers simply add numerals to topic names to add depth. For example:
Overview
1.1 – Topic A
1.2 – Topic B
2.1 – Topic CDespite all this, we have few ideas how to add additional layering that would be easy to create, manage and understand. Stay tuned and vote.

Peer review for assignments
New type of assignments - peer review. Students have to review and grade works of other participants based on the common criteria provided by a teacher.

More an more instructors ask us about SCORM hosting (mostly about Articulate Storyline packages). We have a working prototype already, but it need to go though rigorous testing. We plan to release it beginning of 2016.
If you have some specific SCORM package you would to work with Eliademy, please send us a sample for testing purposes.

Students should be able to unenroll themselves from open courses
Option to unroll is for quite a while in our backlog, but we rarely get more that 1-2 requests to unenroll per month. In academic usage - students usually have to take the course, for paid courses - students don't want to unenroll. So we have only few OER/free MOOC course where this feature is needed.
We will add the option somewhere during this spring.

Allow students to have an access code instead of just an email invitation.
Similar sites give students an access code where they can sign up for a course as they set up a profile. The current system of sending students an email with a link is time consuming while trying to integrate Eliademy with a traditional classroom. This would allow students immediate access to the online classroom instead of waiting for an email to come through.
55 votesHello. Thank you for your idea. We will add an “access code” enrollment during our winter update.

Divide students to study groups
It should be possible to divide students attending the course to groups that work together. They would have a common discussion forum within the group to discuss on.
54 votesGroup work is extremely important area we would like to implement. At the moment we have planned it for Q1 2015, but it it becomes more popular we can implement it earlier.

Centering the text in the name field on certificates
You can put the name field for the custom certificate as you please, BUT: You can not center the text within the field, causing the actual name to be displayed uncentered. Please find the examples below.

Allow assigning relative weights to tasks for grading
It would be good if instructors could specify the relative weight of each task for the calculation of the final grade; so for example an important task's grade could contribute 40% towards the final grade, while a less important task could contribute only 10%.

Automatic Issuing of Certificates
It would be nice if there was a setting to allow the certificates to be automatically issues once the student has completed all of the required tasks.

Advanced quizzes: random selection of many quenstions
It would be nice if we would be able to provide a lot of questions (say for instance 100 questions) and every time the students take the quiz, they get a new randomly generated set of these questions (for instance 10 questions). That way students could take quizes multiple times and get a different quiz every time.
33 votesThanks a lot for this idea. We have just released this feature. More at https://blog.eliademy.com/2016/09/29/quizzes-in-a-live-learning-platform/

Send messages to course participants directly from Eliademy
I would like to send any messages to course participants. Messages should stay archived (Sent folder) so teacher can come back to them and see the communication with the student or whole group.
32 votesRight now, as an instructor you can send a mass mail to all students at once via Participants tab.
To contact individual students, please click on “mail” icon next to person’s profile.
We will eventually add an internal “messaging” system, but right now our priority is better content management and quizzes.

Numeric response types for quizzes
What about an exam, numeric response and an automatic evaluation.
(if we can use LaTeX and insert images, it will be wonderful)32 votesThanks a lot for this idea. We have just released this feature. More at https://blog.eliademy.com/2016/09/29/quizzes-in-a-live-learning-platform/

Add a task like the Moodle "Lesson" task
In the lesson task, the student reads, listens to or watches some content then answers questions before being allowed to proceed. How the student andwers will determine whether the student proceeds, is sent back to review the same content or is directed to other content altogether.
30 votesMaking course content more adaptable for learning is one of the biggest trends we see so far.

Support for Exporting course material
It takes a lot of effort to build a course. I'd like to make sure I can bring it out in html/xml/some other form as well.
Users would benefit from export as pdf or print - version as well.

Change order of attachment on course page
Is it possible to get a feature to drag boxes up and down - changing their order.
I did a mistake in the content order and fixing it was a bit complicated.29 votesWe are planning a big update for course content management with ability to reorder attachment, tasks and topics.

Template for course overview sections
It would be great if the teacher or course coordinator could you provide more information about the course before signing up.
For example:
- How many hours/week.
- Curriculum.
- If prior experience/skills needed and which.
- Other requirements needed (laptop, specific OS, etc)Thanks in advance.
27 votesWorking on some good templates now. It will also be localized to your language, so as a teacher you will have an option to keep or remove needed parts.

Grade book should allow manual entry
In addition to online test and tasks sometime courses have "offline" assignments. I would be good to incorporate such data right to Eliademy grade book.

Copyright notice of the course could be changed to "Organization" instead of individual instructor
If instructor/teacher belongs to an "organization" there should be an option to set organization as a main instructor that is visible on course panel. This way, name of organization will be displayed automatically in copyright notice.
23 votesWe are adding a new feature which would allow instructor to add any text to copyright notice. It should be live within a month.
-
Create task due dates that are individual to the student
It would be nice to be able to limit the time they have to complete their tasks - and even if students are starting courses at different times - each student would have same amount of time for completing the task.

Student should get an automatic email if some of the tasks are still due
An automatic email if there is a quiz/task that is not yet completed with the following text "We noticed you signed up for course X however you haven’t made any progress yet. Is there something we can help you with? Contact course instructor."
Another Email to user who has taken 1 or more quiz, however haven’t finished all the quizzes after 3 days and again after 7 days if no action - Message “Hi, we can see you’ve made some great progress in course x, however you haven’t managed to complete the course yet. You’ve very close to the finish!…
